As a rule of thumb for the upper part of the clock (cloud cover, transparency, etc): The darker the square, the better the conditions. The forecast is compiled specifically for astronomers by the Canadian Meteorological Center and is accurate for a 10-mile radius centered on The Elton Moonshine Observatory.
